GWR Engineering Training
GWR Engineering Training is a vision of mine Gary W Robinson, the owner of GWR. This vision is of a Non profit making organisation which is connected to GWR Precision and GWR Fasteners (GWR).
GWR would find work from different sectors that would be manufactured by our staff who would mentor apprentices from GWR Training. This would be work by a combination of GWR Fasteners which would buy and sell fasteners, part of the fasteners would be manufactured by GWR Precision along with other products and, in turn, part of the staffing to manufacture fasteners etc. would be apprentices from GWR Training.
This way. they would all support each other, alongwith another aspect which would be for the apprentices to be sponsored by other businesses that cannot fund or train their own apprentices. This sponsorship would be in the way of supply of development type work to GWR Precision. After the apprenticeship is complete, these companies could then employ the apprentices so we can continue to train a new wave of young people.
The training facility would become, with time, investment and support, a state of the art manufacturing facility with the latest machining equipment and supported with a top level design section.
The vision also includes the design and development of new products and hopefully green technology which would be invented by our youth for their future.
I believe with the right team around me and the investment, I can establish the leading engineering apprenticeship facility in Britain.
If any company or individual is interested in providing work for our apprentices, donating machinery, buying machinery/equipment for this facility, or if you feel like you want to make a difference to young people and providing a training facility, you could pay for a new building to house it.
This is a very big and ambitious plan but I believe in this project with all my heart and I will pull out all the stops to achieve it.
