GWR Fasteners Limited is UK registered for taxation purposes. All profits are accounted for in accordance with Inland Revenue rules and UK Taxation Laws, with a percentage of profits being paid at the prevailing rate to the exchequer.

We may not agree with the amount of waste within both Local and Central Government or everything that our Government spend our tax contributions on, but these concerns are outweighed by a need and a responsibility to contribute towards the infrastructure of the country in which our profits are generated. We therefore have not switched the jurisdiction of our company's tax affairs and have no intention of switching the jurisdiction of our company's tax affairs.

Our taxation policy is in-line with our policy of manufacturing our products within the UK, either ourselves or by outsourcing production to other UK manufactures. Only after all attempts to secure supply from a UK based company have been exhausted will importation from an overseas supplier be considered.

Whilst global organisations generating billions of pounds in profit and paying nothing, or at best very little in the way of taxes in the United Kingdom, may be working to the letter of the law, they are in our opinion certainly avoiding the spirit of the law. With recent media revelations about this practice by many of our competitors and a growing concern amongst UK Citizens that organisations are not behaving transparently, we felt it important at this point to set out our own position.
