M5 x 20.5mm - 30mm Rivet Nuts - Rubber/Brass Thread

Rubber Rivet Nuts, also known as a Rub Nuts or Well Nuts, can be installed into a variety of materials in order to create load-bearing thread into which a screw or bolt can be fastened. Rubber Rivet Nuts can be installed from one side, and therefore are useful in situations where there is no back access to the material. During installation, as the screw is tightened, the rubber outside barrel of the Rivet Nut compresses and expands against the base material causing a rubber lip to form and locking it in place on both sides. This makes it possible for additional materials to be securely fastened to the base material.

These Rubber Rivet Nuts are made from a EPDM Rubber exterior and a brass thread insert. The brass thread insert offers both high tensile strength and high corrosion resistance whilst the rubber exterior is resistant to weathering, absorbs shock and vibrations, as well as offering a watertight seal and electrical isolation. Due to the nature of rubber, these nuts are also removeable and reusable.
