No.6 x 1/2" Torx Pin 6-Lobe Button Head Self Tapping Security Screws - A2 Stainless Steel

Torx Pin Button Head Security Screws, also known as Resistorx, Pin Torx or Stardrive pin, feature a domed head and an internal 6-lobe pin socket drive. The torx pin drive allows for force to be more evenly distributed whilst tightening. This means a higher level of torx can be applied to the fixture and also reduces the chances of cam-out, which may cause damage to the screw drive. The self-tapping tip is designed to be used with pre-drilled pilot holes into which the screw will tap its own threads.

The internal pin drive adds a level of security to these screws, as a standard torx bit cannot be inserted. These security screws must instead be paired with a security drill bit, resulting in a tamper-proof fastening.
